In RPGs, classes like minion masters focus on commanding an army of monsters to defeat enemies. The same concept is applied in Remnant 2, where the Summoner Archetype excels at providing players with enough firepower to overcome any challenge in the game.
The Summoner is a hidden Archetype in Remnant 2, and it builds upon the idea of creature summoning from the previous game. This time, there is much more flexibility available. All summoned creatures are now linked to Archetype skills, allowing players to customize their character builds to strike the perfect balance between traditional gunplay and letting their monsters do the fighting while they take a break.
Remnant 2 Summoner Build
The Summoner Archetype revolves around summoning friendly monsters to carry out tasks on behalf of the player. This allows players to focus more on Mods or Skills, as the summoned creatures are capable of compensating for any damage lost when switching to different rings or amulets.
The following setup capitalizes on effects that boost the generation of Mod Power and have a direct impact on Summons. While not completely automated, players will still engage in combat alongside their minions for support.

The collaboration of the Summoner and Engineer is surprisingly harmonious, as the Engineer's turrets are considered summoned creatures. Players have the freedom to select any turret variant that best suits the present circumstances, although the Vulcan turret is widely regarded as the most adaptable choice.
The player has the freedom to choose their primary Long Gun, as long as it is equipped with Root Lash and Feedback. The Root tentacles from the mod are considered summons and will benefit from all Summon-related bonuses. In addition, the Enigma serves as a reliable backup weapon for dealing with large groups of enemies.
The accessory setup grants the player increased movement speed through the Haste buff offered by Anastasija's Inspiration. This ring activates with any form of healing, including passive healing from the Regrowth Trait and lifesteal from Soul Link. Furthermore, the Cataloger's Jewel and Burden of the Follower enhance Mod Power generation, allowing the player to use Root Lash more frequently.
The Pulsing Heart has the ability to heal minions within its range. If players notice that their Flyer minions are not receiving much damage, they are encouraged to replace this Relic with another one.
The strategy is straightforward: summon Flyers and Root Lash tentacles, deploy an Engineer Turret, and observe as they fulfill their duties. Players should continue attacking enemies to generate Mod Power more quickly. It's important to note that as a Summoner, damaging minions will empower them, resulting in increased overall damage output.
Remnant 2 is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
