Stranger Things Unveils Ingenious Plan to Tackle Aging Cast!

Stranger Things Season 5 will make use of all available resources to address the issue of the aging cast, according to producer Shawn Levy. The show is particularly vulnerable to the impact of the Hollywood strikes as it requires filming to commence for its fifth and final season before the cast can no longer convincingly portray teenagers.

Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, and Gaten Matarazzo were mere children when they first became a part of the immensely popular sci-fi series in 2016. However, it feels like a lifetime ago, as over seven years have passed since then.

Despite the ongoing actors' strike, the creators are gearing up to commence the shooting of Season 5. Producer Shawn Levy, however, remains unfazed by the situation.

Stranger Things will “use all the tools available” to deal with aging cast

Levy discussed the potential impact of the ongoing strike on the writing process of Stranger Things Season 5 during a recent interview with Variety.

“We have observed the cast of our show mature in the public spotlight, and the transformative years between 12 and 22 bring about profound changes in every individual. Sadly, this passage of time is certainly not aiding the situation,” he clarified.

Therefore, we will harness every resource at our disposal, knowing that our dedicated cast shares the same enthusiasm for returning to work as the rest of our team.

Levy confidently stated that everyone involved in the team, including actors, directors, producers, writers, and crew members, is eager to resume work. However, he emphasized that this will only happen once a fair deal is reached.

Stranger Things is undeniably a flagship franchise for Netflix, representing their brand. The entire team is eager to create the next season, but a fair and just agreement must be reached for this to occur.
