State Farm delves into the lives of NFL players and their 'home team'

State Farm's 'Home Team' collaboration with Team Whistle and Optimum Sports offers an exclusive glimpse into the lives of NFL players and their 'at-home teammates', seamlessly combining brand messaging with the passion of football fandom

State Farm, along with sports media company Team Whistle and agency Optimum Sports, have joined forces to produce three episodes of a football-themed series titled "Home Team." The program is set to be broadcast on Team Whistle's YouTube and social media platforms starting on December 7th, according to information provided to Our Website.

"Home Team" pairs football players with "at-home teammates" for various competitions and Q&A segments that offer a glimpse into their personal lives and relationships. The episodes also include messaging about bundling home and auto insurance as well as State Farm's Personal Price Plan. Alyson Griffin, vice president of marketing at State Farm, explained that this collaboration marks the third year of working with Team Whistle on original NFL-focused content.

"Football's massive reach makes it prime for tapping into fan passion and integrating State Farm into the cultural conversation," Griffin stated. "We're thrilled to bring these episodes to life and give fans a chance to learn more about their favorite players, as well as State Farm." The "Home Team" social assets will be promoted on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. The partnership between Team Whistle and State Farm seamlessly integrates brand messaging into original shows and short-form content extensions. Previous joint efforts, including "Personal Day," drew over 7 million views and 15 million total impressions, according to release details.

The "Home Team" episodes will showcase Minnesota Vikings tight end TJ Hockenson and his fiancée Mikala Brown, Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Jordan Mailata and his wife Niki Ikahihifo-Bender, and Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman and his girlfriend Chariah Gordon. State Farm has a history of involvement with football players and their significant others, including their successful campaign featuring the relationship between Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.

Team Whistle, a DAZN Group company, previously collaborated with DirecTV Stream for a social media campaign promoting the satellite provider's value and promotional offers during the beginning of the college and professional football seasons. Optimum Sports is the sports marketing agency within Omnicom Media Group.
