Silver (Ag) is a rare inorganic resource found in Starfield. It is mainly used for crafting Zero Wires, Power Generators, and Outpost structures. One difficulty in obtaining Silver is that it is not initially detected in planet scans during the early stages of the game.

To find Silver deposits, players must land on different locations and carefully scan the entire surface. However, there is a way to simplify this time-consuming task. How to Farm Silver

As with other minerals, Silver can be farmed through three methods:

Build an extractor over a Silver deposit. The Ag deposits show up as silver-ish highlighted spots on the ground.

Break the Silver rock piles using the Cutter. Simply aim and shoot at the Ag nodes to obtain a few Silver resources.

Purchase Silver from Resource vendors located in the Mining League in Neon City or Midtown Minerals in Akila. These are the ideal locations to acquire this material, priced at 20 Credits per Ore.

Silver Extractors require five Iron, 4 Aluminum, and 2 Tungsten. They also need a power source to function.

How to Show Silver on Planet Maps

To detect Silver, a rare resource that cannot be detected through planet scans, players must acquire the Scanning Skill. This valuable upgrade enables them to identify all uncommon minerals, including Silver, on planetary surfaces prior to landing on them.

If acquiring the Scanning Skill is not possible, you can attempt Outpost Beacon scans as an alternative. Upon arriving at a planet with Ag, activate the scanner and press X to summon a Beacon. Proceed to maneuver this structure and observe if Silver becomes visible in the upper left corner of the screen. In the event that it does, the area contains Ag deposits.

Best Planets to Get Silver Fast

The most lucrative location for farming Silver is Kreet in the Narion star system. However, players can also find large Ag deposits on Denebola I-b in the titular star system.
