Gain Access to The Key

Use the Crimson Fleet Mission Boards

To secure access to The Key space station, players must establish friendly relations with the notorious Crimson Fleet. In order to do so, the player character is required to carry out a criminal act before embarking on a journey to Cydonia, located on the planet Mars. Once there, the player character will be apprehended and held in custody, triggering the commencement of the thrilling "Rook Meets King" quest and unveiling the extensive undercover mission of Sysdef. Following a series of successful trials, the player will earn the trust of the pirates, thereby gaining docking privileges at The Key situated within the Kryx System. Serving as the central hub and primary stronghold of the Crimson Fleet, this station offers gamers a variety of options including the purchase of pirate-themed armor, weapons, and ships.

The Crimson Fleet possesses mission boards that are comparable to those of other factions. To locate them, proceed to the Reckoner's Core and go straight from the entrance. There, you will find pairs of these mission boards positioned adjacent to Shinya Voss's chair. Additionally, there are self-service bounty clearance boards available for your convenience. These boards will prove useful, especially considering the substantial bounties that the player character will accumulate through pirating.

Pirate Mission Types

Different mission types are available at the mission boards. Raids require landing on a designated planet to confiscate the desired items. Piracy missions entail traveling to a specific system and seizing cargo from the targeted vessel.​​​​​​​

Players have various approaches to choose from in dealing with this situation: they can either dismantle the ship or employ intimidation tactics to compel the surrender of its cargo. The Deception skill proves handy by facilitating the intimidation of more formidable vessels. Once the objective is accomplished, players simply need to dock with The Key in order to submit the missions. The player character will receive the reward credits automatically.
