The central area of Neon in Starfield teems with high-ranking executives, tourists, armed guards, and a plethora of shops. James Newill, one of the store owners, has united with fellow small business owners to safeguard their interests. However, he faces a challenge from another merchant who has decided to stray from their alliance.
This merchant is Dietrich Sieghart, proprietor of a separate general store in the Neon Core. Unlike the rest of the merchants, Dietrich has opted to pay Neon Security for protection. James has been unsuccessful in persuading Dietrich to change his stance. Fortunately, Starfield players have the opportunity to assist by embarking on the mission "All for One."
How to Start All for One
Players can receive a hint in their activities log by listening to a local security officer mention James Newill. Alternatively, they can directly visit Newill's shop and inquire about any troubles he may be facing.
Prior to approaching Sieghart, players should take note of the optional objective: "Inquire about Dietrich Sieghart from Rosa Newill." She has valuable information to share, particularly if this is the first time players are interacting with her. To complete this objective and simplify the second step, be sure to ask her "What are your thoughts on Dietrich Sieghart?"
How to Convince Dietrich
Sieghart's Outfitters, located nearby, boasts a prominent illuminated sign like the other establishments in central Neon. The proprietor, Dietrich himself, actively operates the store. To progress the mission, players can approach him and inform him about "James Newill's objection to paying Neon Security for protection."
Despite his disdain for paying protection fees, Dietrich fears that refusing to comply will result in his shop being destroyed by Neon Security. Players have the opportunity to persuade him to stand alongside the other merchants. This is where the optional objective proves beneficial. The persuasion attempt consists of four steps, with the optional objective offering a special blue option that guarantees success and provides an additional +5 steps.
If players fail the Persuade attempt, they can still utilize Rosa's words to persuade Dietrich to cease payments to Neon Security. The mission will only conclude once Dietrich agrees, therefore, players who have not already done so should return to Newill's and speak with her.
Once Dietrich is convinced, players can inform James of the positive outcome. The mission rewards players with 100 XP and a moderate amount of credits, adjusted to match their level.
