In Cydonia, Starfield players may come across Mitch Benjamin seeking assistance. Mitch has come across the revelation that his beloved book series, Dragonstar Force, had a limited first edition release. However, he requires the help of someone capable of journeying beyond the planet to acquire these exclusive books.

This particular mission is quite repetitive, as Mitch always tasks players with pursuing one book at a time, and their locations are limited. Nonetheless, devoted Starfield players who persist till the mission's conclusion will receive a captivating collection of books, suitable for showcasing in an outpost or aboard a starship.

Mitch will direct players to either the Trade Authority building in the Well of New Atlantis or the Trade Authority contact in the bar at Hopetown when they express their interest in finding another Dragonstar Force book. In both locations, players cannot inquire about the book from the Trade Authority merchant. Instead, they will discover it in the Notes section of their inventory. The book is reasonably priced, and Mitch will always reimburse players with more money than the book's cost. The amount of credits received depends on the player's level. Additionally, players have the opportunity to earn a bonus by successfully completing a four-step Persuade attempt, and obtaining a book always rewards them with 100 XP.

Despite being highly repetitive, players may notice that each time they undertake this mission, they receive a new Dragonstar Force book with a unique number and description. As a result, there is a hard limit on the number of times this quest can be repeated, unlike open-ended missions such as "Tourists Go Home" or "Run the Red Mile."

A total of 30 Dragonstar Force books can be found in the game. When players gather all 30, Mitch will declare his collection complete and no longer require additional copies. It is advisable for players to keep their own set of Dragonstar Force books, as Mitch always gives away his regular editions as part of the mission's reward.

The description of each book parodies long-running fantasy and sci-fi series. The fifth book acts as the series' "finale," but the story continues, escalating with multiple dimensions and time travel. All major characters switch sides, the protagonist eventually dies and is succeeded by his son. Eventually, the author passes away and his son writes the 30th book to conclude the series.

However, despite the intricate narrative of the Dragonstar Force novels, the "Media Sponge" mission remains simple, involving a visit to another settlement to purchase a book. The completion of this mission only grants the novels as a unique reward, making it relevant only for completionists.

Starfield is available now on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
