Alternatively, they can also visit a Self-Service Bounty Clearance Kiosk to check on their bounty status.

How to Clear Bounty

There are three ways to clear a bounty in Starfield. Gamers should learn how they work, as all of these methods might come in handy during their playthrough.

Faction Security

If a player is caught committing a crime or if a faction already has a bounty on them, the security personnel will immediately become hostile and confront them once their identity is revealed. At this point, the player has three choices: pay the penalty, surrender and go to jail, or retaliate by attacking.

Gamers have the option to directly pay their bounty to a security person and proceed with their daily activities. Nevertheless, if they decide to pursue this alternative, they must also surrender any pilfered items they possess, in addition to the credits.

Jail
