In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players can utilize the Ultrahand and Fuse abilities to combine various materials and devices to create weapons, shields, arrows, and even vehicles. This new tool set is particularly useful for crafting vehicles, which can help players traverse the vast world of Hyrule and its new Sky Islands and Depths much faster. Crafting a vehicle is a simple process of combining blocks and devices - for example, logs and a fan can be combined to create a boat, or a Zonai Wing and a rocket can make a glider. With an abundance of crafting materials and devices available, players have virtually endless options for customization. This level of creativity and freedom is something that Starfield aims to emulate in its own ship customization system.

Starfield's ship customization system is a game-changer, offering players the flexibility to engage with it as much or as little as they want. If you're not too concerned about flying a customized ship, you can choose from a range of pre-made ships that can be easily upgraded via a simple menu. However, if you're keen to explore all the possibilities Starfield has to offer, the shipbuilder is there to take you on a deep dive.

At a spaceport, players can access the shipbuilder by speaking to an NPC, which enables them to manually customize every module of their ship. These modules are categorized into simplified categories such as weapons, engines, reactors, cockpits, dockers, landing gears, and cowling. Each module is then attached to the base framework of the chosen ship. While the shipbuilder has cosmetic-focused modules like cowling and landing gears, it also offers modules that can significantly impact gameplay.

Aside from the weapons and engines, which directly impact the player's firepower and speed, there are modules like the habitat module that can expand the ship's crew capacity. Furthermore, Starfield's ship modules not only serve practical purposes but also alter the ship's interior aesthetics. With the added feature of being able to customize each individual module's appearance and upgrade its abilities, Starfield's ship customization may even surpass that of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's vehicle creation. Keep an eye out for Starfield, which is set to be released on September 6 for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
