While invisibility may not be immediately obvious in the game, players have three viable methods to acquire it: looting, purchasing, or unlocking. This guide is designed to aid stealthy Starfield players in obtaining the prized camouflage effect for their clothing and spacesuits, while also avoiding excessive costs.

How to Become Invisible

Wear Gears with the Chameleon Effect

In order to achieve invisibility, players must attain Rank 3 in the Concealment Skill. Additionally, temporary invisibility can be acquired by donning Chameleon spacesuits or utilizing the incredible power of Void Form. It is important to note that none of these methods bestow permanent invisibility. Nonetheless, the Void Form empowers players to remain indiscernible for a duration of up to 20 seconds.

The Chameleon attribute grants players the ability to turn invisible when they assume a crouching position. By attaching the Chameleon perk to any piece of a spacesuit (whether it be the helmet, body armor, or backpack), players will effortlessly blend into their surroundings as long as they remain still and stay in a crouched posture.

Legendary spacesuits like The Mirrored Mantis Armor are likelier to have the Chameleon perk.

Rank Up the Concealment Skill

In order to ensure complete invisibility, players need to unlock the Concealment Skill. By reaching Rank 3 in this attribute, the Chameleon effect is bestowed upon any spacesuit, thereby effectively concealing players, even in the most obvious of locations.

Since Concealment is a Tier-4 (Master) skill, players need to spend at least 12 Skill Points in the Physical tree to unlock it.

Unlock the Void Form Power

The Void Form is a powerful skill that enables players to harness the obscurity of the cosmos, rendering themselves virtually imperceptible to their adversaries. To access this advanced ability, players must successfully accomplish the Power From Beyond questline, often involving a pilgrimage to the revered Temple Omicron.

Performing any action while in the Void Form will immediately remove the invisibility effect. However, unlike the Chameleon attribute, this Power grants players the freedom to effortlessly navigate and engage with NPCs and objects without alerting their presence.

How to Make Companions Invisible

To enhance their invisibility, players are advised to equip their companions with a Chameleon suit. To achieve this, they should initiate a trade with their companions, exchange the desired item, and subsequently activate the "Equip" button in the companion's inventory. As a result, allies will be capable of blending into their surroundings as soon as the player assumes a crouched position.
