Starfield players are showcasing their creative starship designs, including gun-shaped gunships and houses, using the game's ship builder feature.

Recreating their beloved starships from well-known franchises like Star Destroyers and Borg Cubes is a common practice among players in Starfield. One design that has caught everyone's attention recently is a remarkable Armored Core-themed creation, enabling players to pilot a mech in the vastness of outer space.

Despite the fact that mechs are strictly prohibited in the Starfield universe, players are eagerly awaiting Bethesda's potential inclusion of them through DLC. This addition would not only introduce fresh combat possibilities, but also address the absence of land vehicles in the game.

A Starfield player, who was inspired by Armored Core, recently shared their custom-made starship created using the game's popular ship builder. Despite some criticisms of Bethesda's latest title, the ship builder feature in Starfield has remained highly regarded. Players have taken to social media to showcase their original designs and impressive recreations, including unique concepts like gun-shaped gunships and even ships resembling houses.

Additionally, there have been appearances of iconic starships from well-known franchises such as Star Destroyers and Borg Cubes within Starfield. Players have tried their hand at recreating these beloved ships. Armored Core, a successful video game series by FromSoftware, also allows players to pilot combat mechs, serving as the equivalent to starships in Starfield. Although the ship builder in Starfield offers modular capabilities for various designs, it took some time for fans to discover how to create vertical designs.

A player, known as ezmonkeyz, recently showcased their exceptional Armored Core mech design on the official Starfield subreddit. They ingeniously utilized various weapon mounts, structural parts, and even habitats to effectively portray the impressive array of weaponry typically found on an Armored Core. The community has showered this creation with ample praise. However, there is one minor setback - the ship parts in Starfield lack the same level of agility as the mech parts in Armored Core 6.

This grandiose ship build stands an astounding nine habitats tall, which unfortunately means that it would likely take a substantial amount of time to reach the cockpit from the landing bay due to the limitations of the ladder system in Starfield. One simple workaround is to employ boost jumps, although players of Starfield are eagerly hoping that Bethesda will consider adding an elevator system in the future to accommodate more intricate ship designs.

Curiously, the United Colonies explicitly bans mechs in the Starfield universe. During one of the story missions for the Freestar Rangers, players have the opportunity to explore a mech graveyard. Bethesda's deliberate choice to prohibit mechs may be to ensure that they do not overshadow the highly addictive gunplay in Starfield. However, there remains the possibility for developers to introduce a mech segment in future DLC. Fans have frequently voiced their dissatisfaction with the absence of land vehicles in Starfield, and mechs could potentially address this issue while also offering a fresh approach to combat outside of dungeons and other instances.
