Starfield players have been creating amazing custom ships, including a faithful recreation of the Unreliable spacecraft from The Outer Worlds.

Starfield's shipbuilding mechanics enable the creation of intricate designs and comprehensive customization, providing a truly versatile capability.

The Unreliable replica offers a crew capacity comparable to that of the Frontier ship, albeit with a smaller cargo capacity. However, it boasts double the jump range and enhanced shield strength.

A talented Starfield player has successfully recreated the Unreliable spacecraft from The Outer Worlds in Bethesda's latest RPG. This impressive feat adds to the ever-growing collection of remarkable custom ships that Starfield players have been creating since the game's debut.

Similar to Bethesda's other modern RPGs, Starfield offers a vast open world where players can engage in a plethora of activities. The game's shipbuilding mechanics are particularly intricate, allowing for the creation of intricate designs and detailed customization options.

Reddit user TotallyCaz successfully recreated the Unreliable starship from The Outer Worlds in Starfield, showcasing the impressive flexibility of this feature. The design of the ship closely resembles the iconic spacecraft from Obsidian Entertainment's RPG, featuring twin half-cylindrical engines, a sturdy hull, and pill-shaped cargo holds.

Not only does this Unreliable replica bear a striking resemblance to its inspiration, but it also offers impressive stats that make it an attractive choice for early-game play in Starfield. Acting as an alternative to the Frontier ship, which is the first spaceship players unlock in their journey through The Settled Systems, the Unreliable replica boasts the same crew capacity of two individuals. However, it has a slightly smaller cargo capacity, about 20% smaller, but compensates with twice the jump range and significantly stronger shields. Although lacking weaponry, there is ample space on the ship to equip it with armaments, showcasing its potential as a proof of concept ship.

This ship, which does not have any weapons, is valued at just over 55,000 credits in the game. This means that it should be feasible to replicate its design even in the early stages of the game when currency is limited. The only obstacle to using this exact specification in the beginning of Starfield is the ship's C reactor class, which requires four points invested in the Piloting skill. However, since the spacecraft weighs less than 1.4 tons, it should be possible to replace its reactor with something more modest and available to low-level characters.

TotallyCaz did not provide a detailed explanation of the engineering process they used to create their Unreliable replica. However, the screenshots they shared show no evidence of them using any mods to achieve this design. This ship is not the first impressive custom ship created by the game's fandom since October; it has been preceded by a Star Trek-inspired Starfield ship, a recreation of the F-22 fighter jet, and various other unique designs.

Starfield is available now on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
