Players face a significant challenge in the charming landscape of Stardew Valley when it comes to restoring Willy's boat. This task demands careful planning and precise execution to accomplish. Positioned on the sandy coastline of Pelican Town, this magnificent vessel unlocks unexplored territories and exciting opportunities.
Willy, a cherished figure in Stardew Valley, is a skilled fisherman who holds substantial significance in every player's farming journey. His store is situated on the bustling docks of The Beach, located south of Pelican Town. Here, players can purchase an array of fishing-related supplies, ranging from bait and crab pots to rods, fish tanks, and tackle equipment.
How to Repair Willy’s Boat
After completing either the Community Center Bundles or the Joja Warehouse, players can visit Willy's Fish Shop anytime after Summer 1, Year 1 to initiate a cutscene. In the cutscene, Willy expresses his concern about the Fish Shop's current state despite his hard work, and subtly mentions his "old friend" in the back room. A few days later, the player receives a letter from Willy inviting them to explore the back room of the Fish Shop. Inside, they discover a dock with an old boat that is in need of repairs. Willy explains that he lacks the necessary materials to fix the boat.
To repair Willy’s boat the players need the following materials:
200 pieces of Hardwood for the hull.
5 Iridium Bars for the boat’s anchor.
5 Battery Packs for the ticket stand.
Once players have gathered these items, a cutscene is initiated overnight, in which Willy and the local carpenter, Robin, collaborate to refurbish the boat.
If there happens to be another overnight cutscene planned for the same night, this specific cutscene will be rescheduled for the following day.
After the repairs, Willy's Boat becomes a reliable means of transportation between The Ginger Island and the player's current location. To embark on this journey, players can buy a boat ticket for 1,000 gold from the back room after they have witnessed the boat repair cutscene.
In a minor adjustment, players now have the opportunity to enter the Fish Shop at 8 AM instead of the usual 9 AM. While Willy remains the captain of the boat, his availability remains unaffected. He is always ready to set sail whenever players acquire a ticket to Ginger Island.
Players have a 20% chance to catch a Lifesaver while fishing inside the boat room.
Stardew Valley is available now for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
