The 2024 CMT Awards is getting ready to celebrate the biggest night in country music. They have invited some major Hollywood stars to help with the event.
The ceremony is set to take place on Sunday, April 7, at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Presenters for the big night will include actors Amber Riley, Billy Bob Thornton, Emma Roberts, Minnie Driver, Emily Osment, Jane Seymour, James Van Der Beek, Max Theriot, Montana Jordan, and Gayle King. Musicians such as Melissa Etheridge, Mickey Guyton, Megan Moroney, Cody Johnson, Cody Alan, Parmalee, and Paul Walter Hauser will be presenting trophies at the awards show. Carly Pearce and Jelly Roll will also be serving as presenters. Carly Pearce is nominated for Collaborative Video of the Year for “Cowboys And Plowboys” and Jelly Roll’s song “Need a Favor” is up for Male Video of the Year.
Kelsea Ballerini will be hosting the awards show for the fourth consecutive year. This will be her first time as the solo emcee, after previously co-hosting with Kane Brown in 2021 and 2023 and joining remotely in 2022.
"I am thrilled to announce that I will be hosting the CMT Music Awards in Austin, TX for the 4th year in a row with my CMT family," Ballerini expressed. "It is always a privilege to host an awards show that celebrates the music loved by fans, and I am confident that this year's event will be truly unforgettable."
In addition to hosting, Ballerini will also be performing at the event alongside a star-studded lineup including Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Lainey Wilson, Bailey Zimmerman, Sam Hunt, Old Dominion, Parker McCollum, Brittney Spencer, and Jordan Davis with NEEDTOBREATHE. Fans can also look forward to performances by Little Big Town and Sugarland, who will be taking the stage after several years.
Trisha Yearwood is set to be honored with the first-ever June Carter Cash Humanitarian Award at the upcoming ceremony, which will also feature a special performance. The award, as stated in a press release from CMT, is designed to recognize individuals in the music industry who show exceptional commitment to their community and fellow artists, much like Cash did.
The 2024 CMT Awards will be broadcast on CBS on Sunday, April 7, at 8 p.m. ET. Viewers can also watch the show live or on-demand on Paramount+.
