While the renewal has been confirmed, fans may experience a delay before they can indulge in another round of twisted childhood games. In November 2021, director Hwang Dong-hyuk mentioned that he is currently in the "planning process" of the show's second season.

Editor's P/S
As a Gen Z fan, I am incredibly excited about the upcoming second season of Squid Game. The first season was a global phenomenon, and I am eager to see what the next chapter in the story will be.
I am particularly interested in seeing how the show will explore the themes of class inequality and social injustice that were so prevalent in the first season. I think these themes are more relevant than ever in today's world, and I am curious to see how the show will address them.
I am also excited to see how the show will develop the characters. In the first season, we were introduced to a wide range of complex and well-developed characters. I am eager to see how these characters will evolve in the second season and how they will interact with each other.
Overall, I am very excited about Squid Game Season 2. I think it has the potential to be even better than the first season, and I can't wait to see what the show has in store for us.
