The map in Spider-Man 2, developed by Insomniac Games, is incredibly vast, providing players with the opportunity to navigate various areas in search of valuable items such as Tech Parts, Hero Tokens, City Tokens, and more. Apart from acquiring these resources, exploring different regions also allows players to locate other necessary items required to complete side missions.
Due to the extensive nature of the map, Insomniac Games has implemented several changes to traversal-related abilities, ensuring that players of Spider-Man 2 can effortlessly explore the new locations. One of the new additions to the game is the Slingshot ability, which can be utilized by following the steps outlined in this guide.

At the beginning of a new game, players do not have the slingshot skill available. They must unlock it from Miles and Peter's shared skill tree. Fortunately, it doesn't require a large number of skill points, as it is the first option in the tree. Unlocking the Slingshot Launch will cost players one skill point. Once acquired, players can use the slingshot to propel themselves into the air. To activate the slingshot, players need to hold the L2 and X buttons while on the ground, and release them. Along with the slingshot, players can also use the Super Slingshot. To cancel a slingshot, simply release the L2 button.
How To Use Super Slingshot
The Super Slingshot can only be used at specific locations, which are indicated on the map by a slingshot marker. To activate it, players must go to one of these locations and climb to the very top. Once in the right position, a prompt will appear on the screen instructing players to press and hold the L2 and X buttons to launch the hero into the air.
By using the Super Slingshot, heroes can cover a much larger area. For an extended period of time in the air, players can also use the Spider Wings to glide. To enhance their gliding and swinging abilities, players can focus on the Traversal option in the Suit Tech. This requires collecting various resources, which can be obtained by completing main missions, side missions, and dealing with minor crimes scattered across the map.
Spider-Man 2 is now available on PlayStation 5.
