Director Emerald Fennell's upcoming film, Saltburn, featuring Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, and Rosamund Pike, is generating ample anticipation. Following the success of Fennell's first film, Promising Young Woman, starring Carey Mulligan, all eyes are on the director to see if she can deliver another hit. Saltburn cleverly builds excitement for its release by gradually unveiling character posters that set the tone for the film.
The latest poster showcases the entire cast dressed in their finest attire, poised and ready. Each cast member gazes straight ahead, while the tagline boldly declares, "We're all about to lose our minds." Keoghan confidently takes center stage, his hands placed behind his back, signifying his readiness for action. Elordi and Richard E. Grant join him, both donning elegant tuxedos, while Pike appears in a stunning green evening gown. Alison Oliver smirks in vibrant furs and tassels, while Archie Madekwe stands with crossed arms, clad in a striking red velvet ensemble.
What Is 'Saltburn' About?
Saltburn centers around Oliver Quick, a scholarship student at Oxford University who finds himself amidst the privileged and affluent offspring. He forms an unexpected friendship with Felix, who hails from a lineage of opulence. Despite their contrasting backgrounds, the unlikely duo develops a deep bond, prompting Felix to extend an invitation for Oliver to visit his family's extravagant estate, Saltburn, during the summer. Felix assures Oliver that his family will embrace him. However, upon his arrival, Oliver is confronted with Felix's relatives, who either look down upon him, sympathize with him, or perceive him as a mere amusement. Amidst this judgmental atmosphere, only Felix's cousin Farleigh truly recognizes the facade Oliver presents to the world—a persona concealing his simmering desire to dismantle the wealthy elite and perhaps drive them to madness.

Saltburn delves into the disparity between the wealthy and the rest, depicting them as being elevated on their thrones, disconnected from reality. Nevertheless, there is always that one character who ultimately has the last laugh over the privileged upper class. Whether it's Lucia (Simona Tabasco) from White Lotus leaving with her wealth intact or Margot (Anya Taylor-Joy) from The Menu departing the island with her life and a humble burger, someone emerges triumphant to savor the satisfaction of "licking the plate clean," as Saltburn aptly describes.
Saltburn's theatrical release will be on November 24 in the U.S. before expanding worldwide on December 1. You can see the new poster below:
