Manchester United's pursuit of Sofyan Amrabat has hit a roadblock as the midfielder has been excluded from Fiorentina's lineup against Rapid Vienna in the Europa Conference League on Thursday. Amrabat, the Moroccan midfielder, did not accompany the team to Austria and is currently engaged in separate training sessions in Florence.
He is understood to have had his head turned by interest from other clubs and is not in the right frame of mind to play in the Conference League play-off first-leg fixture.

United has been interested in Amrabat for a considerable amount of time and is currently considering making a move for him. They have not excluded the possibility of signing a new central midfielder even if there are no outgoing players before the deadline.
Similarly, Liverpool has shown a keen interest in Amrabat. As reported by Sky in Italy, they have had discussions with Fiorentina through intermediaries earlier this summer. They are also actively searching for a player in his position before the deadline.
