Smallville star impresses with remarkable archery skills, fueling excitement during the DCU Green Arrow casting campaign James Gunn's highly-anticipated DC Universe is set to kick off in 2025

Smallville's Impulse actor, Kyle Gallner, is eager to join James Gunn's DC Universe and showcase his archery abilities. Fans are hoping Gallner will play the Green Arrow in a potential reboot project. The DCEU will conclude in 2023, making way for a new DC Universe curated by Gunn and Peter Safran. DC Studios is already in the process of developing various movies and TV shows, bringing new versions of DC heroes to the screen in live-action.

One superhero that fans are particularly excited to see in Gunn's DC Universe is Oliver Queen, also known as the Green Arrow. Stephen Amell recently portrayed the character in the Arrowverse. Gallner's fans have been advocating for him to take on this role, as he previously appeared as the DC speedster Impulse in Smallville. Gallner himself is enthusiastic about the prospect, as he recently showcased his archery skills on Twitter and included the hashtag #GreenArrow, indicating his desire to portray the Emerald Archer.

Gallner coincidentally starred on Smallville alongside Justin Hartley's Green Arrow, who enlisted Bart for the Justice League in the show. Gallner made his final appearance as Impulse in Season 8 of Smallville, which aired in 2009.
