The Sims 4 surprised players with an unexpected patch, offering some free goodies to celebrate the back-to-school season. This popular game has a wide range of downloadable content (DLC) packs that enhance the gameplay experience. These packs allow players to have Sims engage in various activities, from focusing on building to deepening relationships and creating more realistic interactions. Some packs provide options for Sims to indulge in a relaxing spa day or embark on exciting adventures, like exploring the mysterious planet Sixam in outer space. While expansion packs can be pricey, the base game still offers plenty of content for players. In fact, The Sims 4 has become free-to-play, attracting a larger and more diverse community. Even those who only own the base game can engage in various scenarios, strive to fulfill aspirations, and master various skills through a legacy challenge.
Base game players of The Sims 4 received additional content through the free Infants update before the release of the Growing Together expansion pack. Although it was a smaller update, fans will be pleased to know that the game developers have once again provided new content for all players to enjoy. In a surprising move, Sims 4 players now have access to back-to-school-themed items following the introduction of Sims Delivery Express. To access these new items for their Build Mode, gamers simply need to update their game. The Delivery Express update includes lot signs, bags, and a unique bathroom door. These items come in a variety of vibrant colors and actually have functional purposes in the game, rather than being solely decorative. Additionally, the newly introduced lunch box allows Toddlers and older Sims to obtain snacks and drinks, while backpacks can now be used to store inventory items.
Fans were delighted to discover that they would finally be receiving fresh content, instead of it potentially becoming another contentious Sims 4 kit. Hopefully, The Sims 4 will continue to receive additional free content updates down the line.
The Sims 4 is now accessible on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
