Jinger Duggar recently shared a sneak peek of her heartfelt reunions with her sisters, Jill and Jana Duggar. This happened one month after a docuseries delving into their family's mysteries was released. In a YouTube vlog posted on Tuesday, July 4, the 29-year-old showcased her special outing with 32-year-old Jill. The siblings cherished their time together in Arkansas while Jinger visited her family's home state. Jinger, sitting in the car beside her older sister, shared with the camera that they had recently gone shopping at the thrift store and were now heading to get coffee. Accompanied by her sister's sons, Israel (8), Samuel (6), and Frederick (11 months), they happily updated fans on their day's adventures. Jinger's Arkansas adventure happened a few weeks before she uploaded her recap on Tuesday. In the Instagram picture, her sister Joy-Anna Duggar was still pregnant, but she later gave birth to her and Austin Forsyth's son Gunner in May. Although Jinger's July 4th activities did not directly contribute to the celebrations, she did participate in a 5k run to commemorate America's birthday. The annual Independence Day Classic in Newhall, California saw the former reality star joined by Ben Seewald, the husband of Jana and Jessa. After completing the race, the group proudly posed with their medals.

However, their original show was cancelled in 2015 due to allegations of sexual assault involving their eldest son, Josh Duggar, when he was a teenager. Jill and Derick Dillard made the decision to depart from Counting On in 2017. Their departure was featured in the Prime Video docuseries titled Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets, which premiered in June. The show acknowledged that financial matters and restrictive contracts influenced their choice.

The four-episode special also delved into various controversies surrounding the family, including their association with the Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP) teachings and Josh's arrest in 2021 on charges related to child pornography. As of now, Josh is serving a sentence of over 12 years in a Texas prison following his conviction in 2022.

In response to a user's direct message regarding the episodes, Jill clarified, "My love for my family remains unchanged... that's not the focus here."

Meanwhile, Jinger had previously delved into her conservative upbringing in her book, Becoming Free Indeed, but opted not to join her sister in the docuseries. When asked about her family's potential reactions to the show, she expressed, "I believe everyone will have their own responses and their own timing, and that's how we navigate through these things."
