The 12th episode of Undead Unluck, titled Activate, was released on December 22, 2023. It continued the story from the previous episode, with Andy and Fuuko attempting to capture the UMA Unrepair at a mafia auction in Rio de Janiero, Brazil. Their plan was disrupted by the arrival of a terrorist Negator group called Under, who also infiltrated the ship and engaged in a gunfight with the guards.
The situation quickly escalated as the quiet operation turned chaotic due to Under's ruthless tactics in "recruiting" Negators. The clash of languages and cultures made it difficult for both sides to locate their target, leading to a tense standoff. The episode revisited the dangerous abilities of enemy Negators, adding to the intense action.

Infiltration over
The infiltration comes to a close in Undead Unluck episode 12: The Infiltration Ends (Image via Our Website).
The mission to infiltrate was abruptly terminated as Tatiana warned Fuuko and Andy that Under had breached the yacht and was dispatching guards, forcing them to abandon their previous efforts. As Undead Unluck episode 12 begins, Andy and Fuuko charge ahead to confront the Negators on board the vessel.
Dealing with the mafia was relatively easy for Andy, but the noise he and Fuuko made alerted the mafia and they had to confront several armed men. Fuuko's Unluck caused an explosion on the left side of the ship, creating a hole leading to a stairway to the cargo hold.
As Tatiana attempted to enter as a large mechanical ball, Andy and Fuuko ran down the stairs, only to be stopped by a crate full of dynamite exploding. Despite the danger, they both survived and found a more direct route to the cargo hold.
Chikara Shigeno: Unmove

With nearly every Negator having a tragic backstory, it's no shock that Chikara Shigeno is no exception. On the day that the UMA Galaxy was introduced, unifying all languages, he had a panic attack at school in Japan when nobody could understand him.
Tased from behind, he was taken onto a yacht to be sold. Flashbacks revealed his mother's death, presumably from illness, leaving no one to mourn or miss him. His attempt to escape is thwarted when Negator Hunters discover him and kill the guard attempting to shoot him in the leg.
A fight of philosophies and powers
Chikara's Negator ability, Unmove, functions in the following manner: by maintaining eye contact and standing perfectly still, he can prevent anyone from moving. However, Unrepair only deems Chikara's ability as useful and not the individual. It comes as no surprise that in episode 12 of Undead Unluck, when Fuuko and Andy assist him, he returns the favor by freezing a hailstorm of bullets and mafia gunmen.

Throughout the series, Undead Unluck has showcased intense battles between Negators, often leaving Andy and Fuuko on the brink of survival against the Union's forces. The Union Negators prioritize minimizing civilian casualties and handling UMAs/potential Negators without bloodshed whenever possible.
In Undead Unluck episode 12, the Negator Hunters are merciless killers, as seen with Creed and the minigun. It is revealed that when a Negator dies, their ability is passed on to someone else. The Negator Hunters are focused solely on their ultimate goal, which is to gather an army and watch the world burn, as stated by Unrepair. They disregard the lives of those in their ranks and are driven only by their desire for revenge, without concern for God or the Rules. This nihilistic mindset is reflected in their brutal behavior, as seen when Unrepair targets Chikara with a scalpel, injuring Fuuko and Andy who intervened. This highlights their ruthlessness and desperation to win at any cost.
Final thoughts
In episode 12 of Undead Unluck, the Negator Hunters' lethal and cold perspective stands in stark contrast to The Union's philosophy. While The Union seeks to free humanity from God's unjust rules, the Negator Hunters aim to selfishly control the world to their liking. They embody the idea of fighting back against a world that harms you. Chikara has aided Andy and Fuuko, but with Fuuko's limited time, Andy is tempted to unleash Victhor. However, the preview suggests that Tatiana will have to face off against Creed and Feng.
The battle on the yacht is far from over even though Undead Unluck episode 12 concludes with Chikara freezing bullets like Neo from The Matrix. Fans will have to stay tuned for the next episode to find out Tatiana's fate in the ongoing fight.
