General Sam, the popular Twitch streamer known for his entertaining gaming and vlogging content, recently received a disturbing package in the mail - a dead pig. With an impressive following of over 289,000 on Twitch and over 1.41 million subscribers on YouTube, General Sam has created a strong presence in the streaming community.
Like many other streamers and content creators, General Sam has opened up a PO box for his fans to send gifts as a way of expressing their love and appreciation. These gifts can vary from heartfelt letters and artistic creations to extravagant presents. A prime example of the latter is Amouranth, who received a shocking $70,000 and self-defense weapons from an anonymous donor.
However, some content creators have received disturbing gifts from their viewers, and General Sam happens to be one of them. In a recent Twitch stream, he unboxed various fan mail, which initially went smoothly. However, things took a turn when he opened a package that emitted a strong odor. Upon closer examination, he discovered an embalmed dead baby pig, tightly sealed in a vacuum bag. Shocked and angered, General Sam couldn't help but express his frustration and remind his viewers not to send him such gruesome presents.
After his unboxing stream, General Sam shared a video on Twitter featuring the dead pig and asked his followers for suggestions on what to do with it. In response to a comment, he mentioned the possibility of preserving it in a large jar for display purposes. However, one of his fans cautioned against opening the bag due to the potential toxicity of the smell. Meanwhile, many other fans were equally disturbed by the unexpected gift, mirroring General Sam's initial shock upon seeing it in the package. Fortunately, the platform did not ban the streamer for showcasing a deceased animal during his stream, unlike Polish streamer Sideneuke who accidentally struck a dog with her car and faced Twitch suspension.
Similar to General Sam, personalities such as streamer Erobb221 and YouTuber Jacksepticeye have received equally repulsive presents from unidentified senders, ranging from human waste to animal excrement. While these PO boxes are primarily used for receiving gifts, it is evident that pranksters often exploit them by dispatching potentially risky packages. This act could be seen as comparable to swatting Twitch streamers for amusement, given the potential danger it poses to the recipient.
Luckily, General Sam and other similar creators did not suffer any harm despite receiving unsettling presents like a deceased pig. However, as stated by General Sam, this should not serve as an excuse for devoted fans to engage in similar actions in order to elicit a response from their beloved creators. Such behaviors also encompass exposing personal information (doxxing) of Twitch streamers and YouTube content creators.
