Wild ’n Out star Jacky Oh’s official cause of death has been revealed.
Jacky Oh, whose real name was Jacklyn Smith, passed away due to complications arising from cosmetic surgery, as confirmed by the Miami Dade Medical Examiner's office on Friday, September 29. The cause of death was determined to be an accident.
According to the autopsy report, Jacky Oh underwent a gluteal augmentation procedure on May 30, which went smoothly without any complications. Subsequently, she was prescribed medication such as the antibiotic Ciprofloxacin, the painkiller Oxycodone, and the nausea remedy Odansetron.
Jacky Oh experienced a severe headache and difficulties with speech the day after her procedure. Concerned for her well-being, her aunt contacted emergency services. Unfortunately, by the time they arrived, Jacky Oh had become unresponsive. Tragically, she was declared deceased upon arrival at the hospital. At the young age of 33, her untimely passing left the Wild 'n Out family in mourning.
"We express profound sorrow over the loss of Jacklyn Smith, widely recognized as Jacky Oh, a skilled member of the Wild N' Out family whose influence will be eternally cherished and mourned," a statement shared on the official Wild 'n Out social media page conveyed.
The homage additionally highlighted the model as an "affectionate friend and esteemed co-worker" and an "exceptional mother."
DC Young Fly, whose real name is John Whitfield, received the tragic news of Jacky Oh's death while he was in Atlanta working on upcoming episodes of Wild 'n Out. The 31-year-old, who has three children with Jacky Oh - daughters Nova (6) and Nala (3), and son Prince'Nehemiah (12 months) - paid tribute to his beloved partner in June.
