Christine Baumgartner has reportedly relocated from her and Kevin Costner's residence in advance of a court-imposed deadline of July 31. On Friday, July 28, a U-Haul truck was observed outside the former couple's Santa Barbara County home, as captured in TMZ footage. The Daily Mail sources indicate that the truck, along with other moving vans, made multiple trips throughout the day between the couple's $145 million beachfront estate and a small house on a nearby vacant lot, which is purportedly owned by Costner.
Baumgartner and Costner have been in major disagreement over her departure from their home, adding to the chaos of their breakup. Costner, who is 68 years old, stated that their prenuptial agreement, made when they got married in 2004, dictated that Baumgartner had 30 days to move out of the property after their separation. In May, Baumgartner filed for divorce from Costner, citing irreconcilable differences.
In June, legal documents obtained by us revealed that Costner claimed Baumgartner was refusing to leave the premises. On the other hand, Baumgartner argued that she had no source of personal income and could not afford to relocate herself and their three children – Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13. It is worth noting that Costner also has children from previous relationships: Annie, 39, Lily, 36, and Joe, 35, with ex-wife Cindy Silva, as well as Liam, 26, with Bridget Rooney.
After considerable legal dispute regarding her specific move-out date, a judge recently ruled that Baumgartner must vacate the premises by the conclusion of July. However, this escalating drama was only the beginning.
According to court documents obtained by Us on July 14, Baumgartner has accused her estranged husband of being concerned that she will take an excessive number of pots and pans when she eventually moves out.
“With the exception of my clothing, jewelry, toiletries, and handbags, Kevin insists on having the final say regarding the removal of my personal items from both the house and my storage unit,” stated Baumgartner in the paperwork. “For instance, according to Kevin’s proposed order, I am not allowed to take away my mother’s childhood dresser without first holding a discussion and obtaining his approval.”
Costner and Baumgartner, who were seen together at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in March 2022, have not only been arguing about domestic possessions but also about the child support amount. Baumgartner had requested $248,000 per month, which Costner believes he cannot afford once his show Yellowstone concludes.
According to the documents obtained by Us at the time, Christine assigns 60 percent of expenses, including those for a private trainer, unallocated credit card expenses, and her own plastic surgery, to the minor children without providing any explanation or justification. Costner also asserts that Baumgartner incurs monthly plastic surgery expenses of $188,500. Subsequently, a judge determined that the actor will be required to pay Baumgartner $129,755 per month in child support.
