Tristan Thompson’s younger brother, Dishawn Thompson, appeared to suggest that the Kardashians exploited his mother Andrea Thompson's death for their own questionable motives. Dishawn, 28, shared on his Instagram Stories on Thursday, July 27, as reported by Page Six, "Using death as a storyline. Remember, don't trust everything you come across on social media - 95% of it is false."

Dishawn's post followed shortly after the season 3 finale of The Kardashians aired on Hulu, but he did not provide any further details. The episode focused on Tristan and the Kardashian family as they coped with the loss of Andrea. Andrea, who was 53 years old, passed away in January from a heart attack at her home in Toronto. Along with Tristan and Dishawn, she also had two sons, Daniel and Amari, with her husband Trevor Thompson. Kim Kardashian shared on Thursday's episode that Tristan received news of his mother's heart attack, which greatly affected him. The family immediately traveled to Toronto to support him without hesitation.

Khloé Kardashian revealed that she has been supporting NBA player Tristan as he navigates the process of handling his late mother's estate and sorting out her life insurance policy. Additionally, Khloé agreed to provide a temporary home for Tristan and his 16-year-old brother Amari, who has epilepsy, after their house was damaged by severe rain and a collapsed roof.

Khloé expressed gratitude for her strength and courage in being a support system for someone who currently lacks any other form of support. Khloé and Tristan's relationship has been a topic of media attention since they began dating in 2016. After facing a paternity lawsuit with Maralee Nichols, with whom he shares a son named Theo born in December 2022, Tristan and Khloé ended their relationship for good. Despite no longer being romantically involved, Khloé has continued to stand by Tristan, particularly during his difficult time dealing with Andrea's passing.

“Khloé is deeply devoted to Amari, Tristan’s brother, and is committed to supporting him every step of the way. After the devastating loss of their mother, Khloé feels compelled to help care for him. She possesses a compassionate nature and understands firsthand the difficulty of losing a parent. In her heartfelt tribute to Andrea, she expressed her willingness to take care of Amari at any cost.

During Thursday’s episode, Tristan expressed his gratitude to Khloé, Kim, and Kylie Jenner, as well as their entire family, for being a pillar of support. He acknowledged their busy lives and hoped to continuously provide them with everything his mother would have wanted.”

Dishawn paid tribute to Andrea after her passing earlier this year. Expressing his grief on Instagram, he admitted to being at a loss on how to cope with the pain. He acknowledged Andrea's teachings on strength and resilience, stating that she had always guided him through challenges. Dishawn lamented the suddenness of her departure, regretting that he could no longer seek her advice or find the same level of inner peace without her.

He continued, "I feel immense sorrow knowing that your grandchildren will never experience the love you had prepared for them. I promise to share everything about you with them, keeping your spirit and soul alive. The way I speak, express myself, and my sense of humor are all thanks to you. The way I cook in the kitchen comes from the teachings of my queen. Your love for God and your devotion to church are the most beautiful things, and to this day, they give me faith and confidence that you are still looking out for me."

Dishawn concluded his heartfelt tribute by expressing gratitude to his mother for "bringing me my extraordinary brothers Tristan, Daniel, and Amari. I couldn't have asked for better brothers."
