While the Switch offers many superb strategy games, it is always disheartening to witness older titles becoming unavailable. Gamers seeking to obtain this title in the future will need to explore alternative platforms.
God Wars: The Complete Legend immerses players in large-scale battles set in Feudal Japan. Originally launched in 2018, the game received mixed reviews and achieved a score of 70 on Metacritic. In June, NIS America announced that God Wars would be removed from eShop starting today.
Now, the time has come, and God Wars: The Complete Legend has been delisted from the Switch’s eShop. Instead of waiting until the end of the day, the game is no longer available for purchase. Previously, gamers could buy it for $39.99, but it was recently on sale for just $3.99 until August 28. NIS America has not provided an official reason for the delisting, but it is possible that licensing issues could be a factor, as five other titles published by the company have also left the platform recently. However, God Wars: The Complete Legend is still accessible on Steam for $5.99, and there is currently no official notice regarding its removal from the platform.
Games disappearing from the Nintendo eShop is a common occurrence. Earlier this year, the eShops for 3DS and Wii U were shut down, marking the end of an important digital era for Nintendo. As a result, numerous games became unavailable for purchase, prompting some developers to give away free codes to those who wanted to secure these titles before they vanished forever.

Undertale, which takes inspiration from Earthbound, and the classic Dragon Quest 11 are both highly recommended choices. Additionally, fans of the Persona series may find enjoyment in Blue Reflection: Second Light, which incorporates elements of living a school life. On the other hand, those who appreciate comedic adventures can try out West of Loathing, a satirical turn-based western game.
