UEFA's confirmation of Turkey and Italy's joint bid for hosting Euro 2032 suggests a significant boost for the UK and Ireland's prospects of hosting Euro 2028. Despite this development, Turkey still remains in competition with the five-nation bid comprising England, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.
The Turkish and Italian Football Federations have submitted a joint bid to host UEFA EURO 2032 after initially competing against each other. UEFA has confirmed receiving their request to merge their individual bids into a single joint bid.
UEFA will collaborate with FIGC and TFF to guarantee the submission of appropriately compliant documentation for their joint bid. The decision regarding the bid's compliance is anticipated to be made by UEFA well ahead of the UEFA executive committee's selection of the hosts for Euro 2028 and Euro 2032, to be held on October 10.
