Sheinelle Jones from 'Today' show shares her experience of overcoming a fall in New York City by diligently icing her knees to recover and continuing to push through the pain on the show

Sheinelle Jones has been pulling double duty on the Today show while recovering from an injury.

In an Instagram video posted on Tuesday, April 2, Jones, 45, shared a funny incident that led to her injury. She mentioned that after going for a run on Sunday, she fell on her face while running errands in New York City. As a result, she has been icing her knees after each show for the past few days.

Jones then proceeded to show off her "out of control bruises" before making a joke about herself. She shared, "I managed to complete a whole marathon without any injuries, but then I ended up running out of the Dollar Store with plastic and paper plates, heading to Insomnia [Cookies] to grab some cookies for my friends, and suddenly, I tripped and fell flat on my face in front of everyone on the street. But oh well, that's how it goes."

Despite feeling embarrassed, the TV personality took away a valuable lesson from the incident. Jones explained, "It's important for us to be aware of how we move. That's my motto for today. I'm going to pay more attention to my movements from now on."

Jones greeted fans with a "Happy Tuesday" before revealing a scratch on her chin from a fall. She mentioned having makeup over it to hide the mark, but admitted to falling on her face. She emphasized the importance of being mindful in our movements.

In addition, Jones posted a picture on her Instagram Story showing her bruised knees from another fall. She explained that she had tripped in the middle of the street and landed on her knees, causing pain with every step she took.
