Shakira is currently enjoying spending time with her new friend Lucien Laviscount. Despite rumors of a romance between the singer and the Emily in Paris star, a source has revealed to We exclusively that their relationship is not very serious right now.
Since breaking up with Gerard Piqué, Shakira has been casually dating and is not looking to settle down right now. She is enjoying the single life, focusing on her sons and career.
At Coachella on Friday, April 12, the 47-year-old singer surprised everyone by joining Bizarrap on stage, appearing to be solo.
Lucien decided to skip Coachella this time, even though he had attended in the past, according to a source who spoke to Us.
Earlier this month, we confirmed that Shakira, 31, and Laviscount were casually dating after meeting on the set of her music video "Puntería," where they hit it off right away, as shared by another insider.
Shakira was pleasantly surprised by how charming and funny Lucien Laviscount was, according to a source. Another insider mentioned that even though they are taking things slow, Laviscount is very into her.
"Shakira and Lucien have a light playful thing going on," another source added.
In Shakira’s recent music video, Laviscount appeared as a shirtless centaur who gets injured by the singer’s arrow. Later, she takes care of his wound and they share a romantic moment.
Shortly after the video came out, Shakira and Laviscount were seen together in public for the first time. (Last month, a report from Us mentioned that Shakira was open to casual dating after moving on from her past.)
Sharika’s new romantic relationship began over a year after she and former soccer player Piqué, 37, ended their 11-year relationship in June 2022. (The couple shares two sons, Milan, 11, and Sasha, 9.)
When news of their breakup surfaced, reports claimed that Piqué had been unfaithful, reportedly cheating on Shakira with his current girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti.
During an interview with Elle in September 2022, Shakira opened up about what she described as the "darkest hour of my life" following her split. "It's been really hard for me and my kids," she said. "Incredibly tough. I've tried my best to hide the situation from my kids and protect them, because that's my top priority in life."
