Serena Williams shared a seductive photo from her past.
On Monday, October 9, the 42-year-old tennis superstar took to Instagram to post a throwback picture in response to a prompt asking users to share a photo from a completely different time in their lives. In the image, Serena is seen posing confidently in a stylish black bikini by Dax & Jolie. The bikini features a scoop neckline and strappy bottoms that accentuate her figure. With her brunette hair styled into an updo, Serena flaunts her toned abs and belly button piercing with a fresh and glowing face.
The tennis icon originally shared the photo on social media in July 2016, seven years ago. At that time, she was not yet married to her husband Alexis Ohanian, and she had not yet become a mother to her two daughters: Olympia, who is now six years old, and Adria, who is only two months old.
In May 2023, Williams announced her second pregnancy at the Met Gala. She proudly showcased her growing baby bump while wearing a stunning Gucci gown. To complete her look, she accessorized with multiple pearl necklaces, a sparkling headband, a stylish cropped blazer, and knee-high boots. Alongside a red carpet picture, she expressed her excitement for being invited to the Met Gala by Anna Wintour, including herself and her family.
In August, she introduced Adria to the world through a heartwarming family photo. Williams gently cradled her newborn while Olympia and Alexis lovingly embraced their new sister.
Ohanian expressed his joy and gratitude in welcoming Adria. In a heartfelt message, he shared, "Our home is filled with love: a joyful and healthy baby girl and a happy and healthy mother. I am incredibly thankful. Serena Williams, you have given me another priceless gift - you are the GMOAT. A special thanks to the incredible medical staff who cared for my wife and our daughter. I will always remember the moment when I introduced Olympia Ohanian to her baby sister."

The couple got married in November 2017, just two months after Olympia was born. Williams disclosed her complications and emergency C-section in the February 2018 edition of Vogue.
In a January 2019 interview with Allure, Williams shared her postpartum journey. She expressed confidence in her body, stating that she had worked hard for eight months to regain her pre-baby form. Although it wasn't easy, she took a slow and steady approach. After her hospitalization, she appreciated having a stomach as a reminder of the pregnancy.

Williams has recently announced her retirement from professional tennis. In an essay published in Vogue in August 2022, she expressed her frustration with the gender inequality that forces women to make the difficult choice between their careers and their families. She emphasized that if she were a man, she would not have to write this essay because she would be out on the court, playing and winning, while her wife would be handling the physical demands of expanding their family. Williams mused that perhaps she would have achieved even greater success, akin to Tom Brady in football, if she had the same opportunities as male athletes.
