Brighton have finalized the loan signing of Ansu Fati from Barcelona.

The talented Spanish international, aged 20, has committed to a season-long loan at the American Express Community Stadium. However, the agreement does not include an option to purchase.

Brighton is providing 80 percent of his Barca contract for the next 10 months until the end of June, totaling £7m, which amounts to £160,000 per week. Fati has amassed more than 100 appearances for the LaLiga giants since his debut as a 16-year-old in August 2019.

Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi expressed his enthusiasm for the deal, stating, "This is a mutually beneficial agreement. Ansu's presence will undoubtedly contribute to our pursuit of new objectives, while we will provide the necessary support for him to regain the level he rightfully belongs to."

Ansu, who amassed 36 appearances in LaLiga last season and played a crucial role in Barcelona's first championship victory in four years, became a member of the renowned La Masia academy at the age of 10.
