Unlike most popular light novel series, Hirasaka and Kantoku's story was not initially published as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel but was directly serialized as a light novel.

Hirasaka and Kantoku debuted their original light novel series in October 2021 and recently released the fifth volume in Japan on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. Presently, none of the volumes have been officially translated and released in English. Illustrator Kotaro Yamada adapted the series into a manga on Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry website in September 2022, which is still ongoing.

The narrative centers around Sosuke Kaburaya, a struggling detective who encounters Sara Da Odin while following someone for work. According to Sara, she is a princess from another world with magical abilities. The two decide to live together, with Sara quickly adapting to modern Japan. Livia Do Udis, a female knight from Sara’s world, also joins them and takes pleasure in experiencing Japan. The story explores the lives of these three individuals while also featuring other characters.
