The Oscar-winning actress has a resume longer than that of a CVS receipt. Her breakout role in 1994's Speed, the 2000 pop culture touchstone Miss Congeniality, 2013's Gravity, and 2018's Netflix thriller Bird Box only scratch the surface of Bullock's successful career.

In a 2022 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she reflected on her decision to take a break from the industry, explaining, "Work has always been consistent for me, and I've been incredibly fortunate. I came to realize that it might be becoming a crutch for me. So, I told myself, 'Stop seeking validation from work because it doesn't define you here. You already have it; you just need to establish it, find it within yourself, and be comfortable not relying on work for validation.'"
