Following the successful launch of the Galaxy S23 series, Samsung has now introduced the Galaxy S23 FE. This device aims to maintain affordability while still possessing enough power to be considered part of the S23 lineup. After skipping the release of a Galaxy S22 FE, the FE series returns this year with the Galaxy S23 FE. Although the device may come with a slightly higher price, it provides an attractive alternative for those seeking a budget-friendly option in comparison to the Galaxy S23. Notably, the Galaxy S23 FE incorporates certain compromises, such as utilizing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip rather than the newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 found in the S23 range. It is plausible that this device is based on the shelved Galaxy S22 FE, as FE phones typically share similar internal components with their more expensive counterparts. Nevertheless, priced at $600, the Galaxy S23 FE still offers good performance by present-day standards and is even used in some more affordable phones.
Please be aware that there is something important to note about the price of this phone, if you have been considering purchasing it. On Samsung's official store, the phone is listed at $630, which is $30 higher than the previously promised price of $600. Samsung has not provided any explanation or mentioned the price increase, causing some confusion. Interestingly, the phone is actually being sold at the correct price on Amazon and Best Buy, which makes Samsung's price discrepancy even more puzzling. If you are interested in buying this phone, now is the time to do so as Amazon is offering a $100 gift card, further reducing the overall cost of the phone.
