Chelsea striker Sam Kerr is poised to return from injury and play against Manchester City on Sunday in the Women's Super League. After suffering a calf injury during the Women's World Cup, the Australian forward was unable to participate in Chelsea's 2-1 win over Tottenham on the season's first day.
Kerr, having netted 86 goals in 110 games for the Blues, will feature in Emma Hayes' squad this weekend. During the pre-match press conference, Hayes confirmed her return to full training, adding that although Sam is always striving for perfection and desiring more, she is eligible for selection.
