Rudy Giuliani and 10 others pleaded not guilty in an Arizona court on Tuesday to charges of allegedly conspiring to overturn the 2020 presidential election results. The former New York mayor was also ordered to post a $10,000 bond after he avoided attempts by the state to serve him with a summons over the past week.
Giuliani was surprised with legal papers on his 80th birthday party in Palm Beach, Florida. It was organized by a GOP operative. Arizona prosecutors had been searching for Giuliani for weeks and finally located him through his podcasts.
Last month, a grand jury in Arizona issued indictments against more than a dozen allies of Donald Trump. They were charged for their involvement in trying to overturn the results of the 2020 election. This included the use of fake electors and individuals linked to Trump's campaign.
Giuliani was accompanied by 10 other defendants who entered their not-guilty pleas on Tuesday. Four of them appeared virtually, while six appeared in person. The list of defendants includes Christina Bobb, a Trump ally who currently serves as the Republican National Committee’s top lawyer for “election integrity,” former Trump campaign aide Mike Roman, and former Arizona Republican Party Chair Kelli Ward.
Ex-Trump lawyer John Eastman pleaded not guilty just last week.
Next month, six individuals are set to appear, including former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, former Trump adviser Boris Epshteyn, and former Trump campaign lawyer Jenna Ellis.
Although Trump is not facing charges in Arizona, the indictment implies that he is referred to as "Unindicted Coconspirator 1."

Editor's P/S:
The indictments against Rudy Giuliani and his associates in Arizona are a significant development in the ongoing investigation into efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. Giuliani, a prominent figure in former President Donald Trump's inner circle, is facing serious charges related to allegedly conspiring to overturn the election results. The fact that Trump himself is not facing charges in this case does not absolve him of involvement in these efforts, as he is referred to as "Unindicted Coconspirator 1" in the indictment.
The indictments provide further evidence of the concerted and coordinated attempts by Trump and his allies to subvert the democratic process. The charges against Giuliani and the others highlight the lengths to which these individuals were willing to go to undermine the integrity of the election and prevent the peaceful transfer of power. It is essential that those responsible for these actions are held accountable for their crimes, and that the rule of law is upheld in the face of such blatant attacks on our democracy.
