Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy's main character, Ron Burgundy, enters the world of Tron in a unique crossover art piece. This film, released in 2004, is known as one of Will Ferrell's most famous works, where he plays the role of a quirky news anchor. Both the original movie and its 2013 sequel have a humorous and absurd tone, but they do not venture into the realm of science fiction.
In a new crossover art creation by Roger Hendrix, the world of Anchorman collides with the 1982 film Tron to create a new movie called "Ron". Take a look at the artwork below:

The caption on the image reads, "I'm pretty important. People recognize me," which is a playful reference to a famous line from the movie Anchorman. In the picture, Ron is seen wearing the iconic Tron light suit, different from the updated suits seen in the sequel Tron: Legacy.

Anchorman and Tron may seem like polar opposites at first glance. Anchorman is a comedy film, while the Tron series is firmly set in the science fiction genre, showcasing futuristic light suits, light cycles, and the Grid - a massive virtual world housing Argon City and Tron City. Surprisingly, the comedic tone of Anchorman could potentially blend well with the high-tech world of the Grid, creating an unexpected but intriguing crossover.
Tron and Tron: Legacy can both be found on Disney Plus for streaming.
The movie Anchorman includes a famous scene with a flute, as well as a particularly silly part where Ron takes Veronica to "Pleasure Town". In this strange scene, they ride unicorns and glide over rainbows in an animated world, symbolizing sex. If such absurdity can be entertaining, a visit to the Grid could be too if approached with the same humorous tone.
It is highly unlikely that a crossover between Anchorman and Tron will ever happen due to legal obstacles and the fact that the upcoming Tron: Ares film is sticking to the sci-fi theme of the franchise. Additionally, there are currently no plans for an Anchorman 3, although Will Ferrell mentioned in 2017 that another sequel could potentially happen in the future. As of now, it seems that a crossover between Anchorman and Tron will remain a fantasy confined to fan art.
Editor's P/S:
The crossover art piece by Roger Hendrix is a creative and amusing concept that merges the worlds of Anchorman and Tron. It's fascinating to imagine how the quirky humor of Anchorman would translate into the high-tech realm of Tron. The potential for a crossover film could be an intriguing blend of comedy and science fiction.
However, the legal and production barriers make a real crossover highly unlikely. Tron: Ares is continuing the sci-fi legacy of the franchise, while Anchorman is dormant with no current plans for a third installment. Despite these obstacles, the crossover art piece remains a testament to the imaginative possibilities that can arise when two seemingly disparate worlds collide.
