During part 3 of season 18’s Sister Wives: 1-on-1 special, Robyn Brown shared that her marriage to Kody Brown has been strained following his separations from his other wives. "He's essentially self-sabotaging," Robyn, 45, revealed during the recent episode of the TLC series on Sunday, December 10. "He's frustrated and trying to destroy everything.”

54-year-old Kody legally married Robyn in 2014 and adopted her children from a previous relationship after his divorce from his first wife, Meri Brown. Kody and Meri, aged 52, maintained a spiritual union for years before officially ending their relationship in January. This separation followed Kody's breakups from Christine Brown in 2021 and Janelle Brown in 2022.

In a revelation on Sunday, Robyn disclosed that Kody has been attempting to disrupt their relationship, and she has had to intervene frequently. She claimed that Kody started picking fights with her after his other relationships ended. Robyn expressed her mourning over the family's situation, while Kody appeared to be angry and unwilling to discuss it.

During the tell-all, Kody admitted that he had been undermining his relationship with Robyn as a form of self-punishment after his previous failed marriages. He explained that he had imagined himself leaving Robyn for another woman, only to realize that he did not love this hypothetical person, but rather, the woman he had left due to his own failings in their relationship. Kody confessed that he had been struggling with his own inner demons following Christine's departure, which had resulted in a significant amount of anger and temptation that negatively affected his relationship with Robyn. He acknowledged that this anger was off-putting and frightening to Robyn, causing frustration and further strain on their relationship.

Meri Claims Kody Didn’t ‘Respect’ Her as a ‘Human Being’ Pre-Split

In the 2022 season 18 filming, which aired in the fall, Meri and Kody finally made the decision to go their separate ways after facing years of challenges. During the tell-all, Meri disclosed that she came to the realization that Kody prioritized his relationship with Robyn above all other romantic connections, as evidenced by his reaffirmation of their covenant and the implication that it held more significance than his relationship with Meri.

Meri recounted how Kody seemed to have fallen out of love with her based on a scene where he expressed a lack of commitment to another wife, Robyn. She felt disrespected by Kody's apparent change in feelings, especially since they had made covenants as husband and wife. Meri emphasized the importance of open communication and respect, expressing disappointment that Kody did not have a face-to-face conversation with her about his feelings.

Kody responded vehemently, "That covenant doesn't encompass the dissolution of my soul or personality. This dynamic is incompatible with marriage for me. It's that straightforward. I don't value the covenant if you can't grasp that, then it's null and void."

Robyn and Kody Have ‘Never’ Had This Many ‘Problems’ in Marriage

Robyn disclosed that their marriage is currently facing more problems than ever before. She revealed that Kody has become suspicious of all women due to his experiences during his divorce from Christine. Robyn expressed her frustration, stating that it's unfair for Kody to treat all women with suspicion just because of his past issues with others.

Christine Admits She Doesn’t ‘Trust’ Robyn

Christine cited lack of trust as the reason for not being friends with Robyn, stating that she believes Robyn says one thing and does another. She questioned how Robyn can claim to want a big family picture while engaging in separate activities with Kody. Christine admitted that her lack of trust has led her to not want to maintain a relationship with Robyn, but she also acknowledged that everyone likely played a part in the relationship falling apart.

Meri revealed that she no longer trusts her former sister wives, stating that they do not support her. She did acknowledge that Robyn is an exception, but admitted that their relationship has changed over time. Meri explained that she and Robyn are currently working to adjust to their new dynamic, saying that it is different now because she is friends with her ex-husband's wife and is still dealing with emotional challenges.

Robyn Claims Her Kids Were Mocked After Christmas 2021 Fallout

In season 18, viewers found out that Janelle, 54, and Christine's children had a falling out with Robyn and her kids while trying to arrange a gift exchange for Christmas 2021. Robyn allegedly became involved in the planning, causing Janelle and Robyn's children to withdraw. Robyn claimed that the kids even started mistreating her own children.

"My children started to express themselves, and the other kids began to mock and disregard them, making them feel targeted," Robyn alleged. "As a result, my kids came to me and said, 'We don't feel emotionally safe participating in this gift exchange anymore.'"

Christine remembered Robyn informing the group that she and Kody had decided to exclude their kids from the gift exchange after their intense fight. “My kids were heartbroken and confused, asking, ‘What does that mean? I thought those were our siblings,’” Christine revealed. “And they were saying, ‘Why can’t we just move past this and be siblings?’”

Janelle also remembered the incident, saying, "Suddenly, Robyn comes back saying, ‘Well, I’ve talked to your dad, and we’re just going to do our thing separately," she remembered. "And so my kids were like, ‘Our dad, like, our dad? You mean the father of us all?’”

Robyn insisted that her children “truly desired to be part of the family” and alleged that some of Kody’s other kids told them “they didn’t fit in and weren’t considered part of the family, and similar things.”

Janelle Says Kids Were Told to ‘Sit Down and Shut Up’ When Robyn Married In

In hindsight, Meri admitted that she believes the family could have handled the integration of Robyn and her three kids from a previous relationship better. "I think some people felt like they were forced into it and didn't have a say," Meri said. Janelle also stated that the group didn't listen to their own children before Robyn married Kody in 2014.

“We simply instructed them to accept these children. We rushed to put it together without considering everyone’s feelings," Janelle admitted, "They were told to sit down, be quiet, and accept this blended family. I think maybe we should have taken some time."

In comparing her current husband Woolley, whom she married in October, to her previous husband Kody, Christine emphasized the difference in the way she feels loved. "The main thing I noticed was that David loves me. He loves me, and I feel so loved. But along with that comes a sense of confidence that I can just be myself," she explained. "There are no conditions attached to his love. Nothing. I don't have to do anything to earn his love. It's just always there."
