The latest Roblox update on PlayStation 4 introduced eight trophies, a feature that has long been anticipated by fans. Even though Roblox arrived on PlayStation consoles in October 2023, the multiplayer title didn’t have any trophies available until now.

Initially released in 2006, Roblox is an immensely popular online game creation tool that allows players to join custom games or construct their own. Roblox can cater to almost any player's desires as anything from sports games to first-person shooters to in-depth job simulators can be created and played on the game’s ultra-flexible engine. While the multiplayer title launched on Xbox consoles in 2016, PlayStation gamers had to wait a significantly longer time in order to delve into Roblox’s collection of user-generated games. Although the intrinsic nature of Roblox as a game creation platform poses challenges in incorporating traditional trophies, PlayStation 4 trophy hunters can now derive satisfaction from a small number of trophies made available in the title’s latest update on the platform.

The PlayStation 4 version of Roblox now features eight trophies, which are relatively easy to achieve. Players will be rewarded for playing games with their friends, trying out 15 different user-generated worlds and rating five of them, customizing their avatar, and joining a PlayStation Network party. All things considered, the trophy list does not look difficult at all and can be effortlessly completed in just a few hours of casual playtime. One important detail is that, unfortunately, there was no platinum trophy added in the update. However, Roblox can now join the list for the easiest gold trophies in PlayStation games.

Comparison with Xbox Achievements

The Roblox trophy list almost identically resembles that of Xbox achievements, with just one key difference - Xbox has three additional facile challenges for players. To accomplish them, Xbox users just have to play the game three, 10, and 20 days in a row.

Controversy and Business Decisions

While Roblox has been celebrated for its latest update, the game has also been the subject of controversy recently. A few months ago the Roblox Corporation removed some iconic car manufacturers from the game, such as Honda, Toyota, and Bugatti. It is believed that the company wanted to cut some significant costs by not renewing their licenses with the automakers as Roblox had suffered a $900 million loss in 2022. It remains to be seen whether Roblox’s newly captured audience via the PlayStation platform will help boost the game’s revenue.
