Rita Ora dared to wear prosthetics at the 2023 Fashion Awards on Monday, December 4.
Ora, 33, turned heads at the London soirée in a stunning backless black gown adorned with silver spikes that ran along her spine, starting from the base of her neck and fading at her waistline. The "For You" singer complemented the edgy look with a maxi dress from her Primark line, featuring a high neckline, fitted bodice, and a floor-length skirt with a subtle train. Her glam makeup included a dewy foundation, filled-in eyebrows, glittery eyeshadow, long lashes, and glossy lips.
On the red carpet, she posed with husband Taika Waititi, who looked extra handsome in a black suit and coat.

Prior to the awards event, Ora shared a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes process of the horns being applied on her Instagram. In a video, she mentioned it would take 2 to 3 hours to put them on and expressed excitement about wearing an amazing Primark dress that has never been worn at the BFAs. She explained that she chose to create a simple design for the dress because the spine is a significant part of the overall look.
Additionally, Ora mentioned in the video that she is selling 500 dresses, with all profits going towards breast cancer.
She captioned the post with, "Did someone mention a chrome spine? Thank you to everyone who made this happen." Ora had previously expressed her excitement about her "personal" collaboration with Primark in September. Growing up in the U.K., Ora relied on Primark for fashion when she couldn't afford anything else. (The average price of a Primark item is around $45.)

"I’ve always prioritized comfort — I mean, comfort above everything," she added. "When it comes to my personal spending, I'm all about versatility, so basics are essential for me. I love T-shirts and pieces that allow me to mix and match."
