Gran Turismo 7 has recently been updated to Version 1.38, introducing a wealth of new features. This update closely resembles Gran Turismo 7 Version 1.29, which was released seven months earlier.

As the latest installment in the popular Gran Turismo series, Gran Turismo 7 is renowned for its realistic representation of countless real-world racing car models. It has achieved great success as the top-selling PlayStation-exclusive intellectual property of all time. Released in 2022 as the first main game in nearly a decade, it has garnered praise for its impressive presentation and handling. However, it has also faced criticism for incorporating modern trends such as microtransactions and always-online DRM, as well as a heavy reliance on grinding to unlock content. Despite this, it has achieved record-breaking sales figures, and both Polyphony Digital and Sony Interactive are determined to maintain the excitement surrounding the game. This includes not only the forthcoming Gran Turismo movie but also the addition of fresh content to the latest installment.

As outlined on the official Gran Turismo website, Gran Turismo 7 Version 1.38 introduces a plethora of fresh content. Notably, this update brings three new vehicles, consisting of two Hondas and a Mazda. Additionally, two Toyotas have been incorporated into Brand Central, accompanied by liveries for three existing Mazdas. Furthermore, three exciting racetracks have been introduced as events in the World Circuit mode: Grand Valley: Highway 1, Dragon Trail, and Mount Panorama. The Brand Central now features new representation for Fiat and Nissan. To enhance the gaming experience, several new browsable menus have been added to the Café, allowing players to engage in conversations with various car designers and other characters when interacting with specific models.

In addition, Version 1.38 introduces new engine swaps for various cars exclusively available for players at Level 50 or above. Fortunately, there are effective methods to quickly gain experience in Gran Turismo 7. Additionally, Hondata, Aim, and Checkered Sports can now be obtained as decals, and various gameplay bugs and translation errors have been resolved. The Quick Menu now includes a weather radar, and a countdown is displayed when a car is replaced on the track. Moreover, the prices of Legend Cars have been adjusted to reflect their real-world value.

While updates like Version 1.38 are typical for games of this nature, it will be interesting to observe any potential impact on Gran Turismo 7's multiplayer meta. In the meantime, players can enjoy these fresh additions and improvements, eagerly awaiting the next inevitable update.
