Dreamsurges in World of Warcraft's upcoming patch offer a 25% experience boost, making leveling from 60 to 70 easier for both new players and veterans with alts.
In Dreamsurge zones, players can acquire unique buffs and have the opportunity to vote for extra buffs every half an hour, improving their combat skills. Additionally, they have the chance to earn valuable Dreamsurge Coalescence for high-quality gear.
The upcoming update will pave the way for Patch 10.2 of World of Warcraft, which is expected to feature the Emerald Dream and introduce a new World Tree. Patch 10.2 may be officially announced following the release of Fury Incarnate on September 5th.
Dreamsurges are an exciting addition to World of Warcraft: Dragonflight's upcoming patch, offering players a significant experience boost. This new activity in the World of Warcraft universe will greatly assist both new players and seasoned veterans with multiple characters in catching up to the current content.
World of Warcraft's next content update, Fury Incarnate (Patch 10.1.7), is right around the corner. This update introduces thrilling elements to the game, such as immersive story quests, character customizations, and engaging world events.
The main attraction of these exciting events are Dreamsurges, which occur in one of the four original zones of the Dragon Isles each week. These Dreamsurges are enveloped in enchanting magic, reminiscent of the Green Dragonflight from World of Warcraft. During this time, all players in the selected zone will receive the Dreaming Winds buff, increasing their questing experience by 25%. This significantly simplifies the process of leveling characters from 60 to 70.
But that's not all! Players in these regions also gain special buffs that provide advantages during zone battles. Every half hour, everyone in the Dreamsurge area gets the opportunity to vote for one of two special buffs. These buffs benefit all players and can include a defensive summon or a bonus to Nature damage. Additionally, players can earn Dreamsurge Coalescence, a new currency in World of Warcraft, by completing special event objectives in the zone, looting specific items, or defeating empowered rare enemies. This currency can be exchanged for powerful catch-up gear designed for level 70 characters.
During a Dreamsurge event, Waking Dream portals occasionally appear in the area, releasing Druids of the Flame. These well-known enemies from World of Warcraft: Cataclysm have returned, and players can defeat them by eliminating mobs, destroying altars, or riding dragons to take out aerial targets. By doing so, a Flame Lieutenant will spawn, dropping additional Dreamsurge Coalescence, a Shadowflame Crest, as well as other gear for catching up and items used to craft a new fiery mammoth mount.
Fury Incarnate is undoubtedly preparing World of Warcraft for Patch 10.2. The second major update for Dragonflight does not currently have a designated name, but judging from the theme of Patch 10.1.7, players can be confident that it will involve the Emerald Dream and World of Warcraft's new World Tree. Fury Incarnate is scheduled for release on September 5, so players can anticipate an official announcement for Patch 10.2 in the following weeks, with the update itself likely arriving in the autumn. With BlizzCon set to take place on November 3 and 4, fans should keep an eye out for what WoW has to offer during its first live convention in years.
World of Warcraft is available now for PC.
