Revolutionary Step: Marketing Week Mini MBA Makes Historic Appointment as MD

We are excited to announce that our Website Mini MBA, the acclaimed course series developed in partnership with Mark Ritson, now has a new managing director in place to drive its expansion strategy.

Tim Plyming will assume his new role in October. Previously, he served as the managing director for short courses and microcredentials at The Open University. Prior to that, he held senior positions at BBC, Nesta, and the British Museum.

The initial launch of the Mini MBA featured a Marketing course developed and taught by Our Website columnist Ritson. Subsequently, a Brand Management course was introduced. As of now, over 30,000 marketers have enrolled in either one or both of these courses.

Next month will mark the introduction of a Business Management course, specifically tailored for seasoned marketers aiming to transition into business leadership roles. Leading the course is Helen Edwards, a renowned columnist, academic, and author from Our Website, who will be joined by a team of specialized contributors.

In addition to the course, our future plans entail establishing a learner network and expanding our services to cater to international and corporate clients, with a focus on facilitating their accelerated growth.

Plyming will report to the group managing director of Xeim, Steve Newbold, and will collaborate closely with brand director Sam Halkyard and Ritson.

Plyming expresses admiration for the MW Mini MBA course and considers it the top-notch online learning program. As a proud alumnus, Plyming is thrilled to join Steve, Mark, and the team during this period of rapid growth and development.
