Some fans believe that Diablo 4 could benefit from a larger storage space, and one player has taken the initiative to create an unofficial concept of how this could be implemented. Although the developers are aware of the issue with inventory management in Diablo 4, it may take some time before it receives the necessary attention. Additionally, the implementation of leaderboards for Nightmare Dungeons, a highly requested feature in the community, is unlikely to occur until at least Season 3.
When compared to its predecessor or other competitors like Path of Exile, the shortcomings of Diablo 4's inventory system are evident. For instance, the absence of certain features, such as a search function for the stash and player backpack, makes navigating through the list of Legendary Aspects a tedious task. Moreover, the limited number of tabs available in the stash is barely sufficient for even the most casual players at the endgame, particularly those transitioning from Reaper of Souls.
Considering this, it is not surprising that unofficial concepts have emerged within the community. One Diablo 4 player, known as Tanis34, has developed their own vision for how the expanded stash in Diablo 4 should look. The new UI improves upon the current design by removing the awkward art at the bottom of the stash screen, increasing the number of rows per tab by 60%. Additionally, a search bar is added at the top of the menu, along with dedicated loot filters on the right, organized by categories.
In this hypothetical new stash screen, players would have the ability to sort items by level, rarity, type, and even by Diablo 4 class. While the current system is functional, Tanis34's concept provides valuable insights into how it could be further improved. In terms of community feedback, this concept is highly valuable. Although Diablo 4 is in a better state at launch compared to Diablo 3, most players would agree that there are still some significant issues to address, such as class balance, itemization, inventory management, and overall convenience.
Diablo 4's Season of the Malignant is set to launch on July 20, giving players an exciting introduction to the game's seasonal content. The developers have started their efforts to enhance Diablo 4 since the initial Campfire Chat on June 16, focusing on rectifying any issues and building upon its foundation. Being a live-service game, fans eagerly await the expansion of in-game storage, hoping for a prompt release. Diablo 4 can be enjoyed on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
