Brandi Mallory, known for appearing on Extreme Weight Loss, has had the cause of her death revealed. The official autopsy report, obtained by TMZ on December 5, stated that the Fulton County Medical Examiner found that "complications of obesity [were] considered a significant condition contributing to the death."
Last month, Mallory, aged 40, was found dead in her car. The documents revealed that her weight, enlarged heart, and "some elevated blood indicators suggestive of prediabetes" were all contributing factors to her death. The autopsy confirmed that there were no recent injuries or evidence of foul play.

Brandi Mallory participated in season 4 of Extreme Weight Loss in 2014, achieving an incredible transformation from 329 pounds to 178 pounds. (The show was broadcasted on ABC for five seasons from 2011 to 2015.)
Chris Powell, the host and trainer for Extreme Weight Loss, fondly recalled Mallory in a recent statement after her passing.
"It's truly heartbreaking to lose her, as she meant so much to countless people, including myself," Powell, 45, shared with People last month. "She was truly an exceptional individual."
He even called her "one of my favorites" from the series.
"She was so lively from the start, and she danced around everywhere. She always brought so much positivity to everyone," Powell's statement continued. "It's funny because at first you think, we'll see how long this lasts... and she was still the same. Then after four weeks, she was still shining. And after two months, I realized, she's truly a beacon of light for everyone around her."
Powell expressed admiration for Mallory, stating that she consistently exuded energy and was a trailblazer in the body positivity movement. He also admired her transparency about her weight struggles, noting how her confidence and self-expression inspired others to embrace and appreciate their bodies. He emphasized that Mallory had become a symbol of empowerment for many.
Even after the show ended, Malloy showcased her weight loss journey on social media.

When reflecting on her weight loss journey in 2018, Malloy explained that the “devastating” death of a sorority sister inspired her.
Mallory remembered thinking, "She wasn't as big as me. She had a heart attack. I woke up every day thinking...this could be my last day, I didn't know what would happen to me."
