Rev Up Your Style: Unleashing the Art of Customizing F1 Race Helmets

In Formula 1, the racers have always been seen as celebrities, but their identities are often concealed by their race helmets. In F1 23, players have the opportunity to make their character unique and express themselves through customized helmets. These helmets can feature designs and color schemes that tell a story or pay homage to their home country or iconic designs. Players can access a wide range of helmet options, including more intricate designs, through the in-game shop. Additionally, certain special helmet designs can be unlocked through the Podium Pass and F1 World challenges.

F1 World

Players can participate in various challenges and mini-games in the F1 World section to unlock additional bonuses that will impact both gameplay and cosmetics. In the Customization menu, players have the option to create their own unique appearances, including livery designs, podium celebrations, race suits, and driver helmets. In the customization section, a small helmet logo will be visible at the bottom of the screen.

Once the customization process is complete, players have the freedom to select and modify their preferred designs. They also have the option to purchase additional designs from the Item Shop. These customized designs can be saved and utilized in other game modes such as Career and Multiplayer. However, each design can only have one color scheme at a time.

Career Mode

Players have the freedom to fully customize their character in the Career and MyTeam Career modes of F1 23. During the Career setup process, they can choose and color a design. However, if they want to make changes to this design or switch it up for a specific race weekend, they can do so through the Corporate tab on the factory home screen. It's important to note that this tab will only be accessible before a race weekend starts.

Within the Corporate tab, players will find a Customization tab that allows them to modify various aspects, including the team's logo design, sponsorship placement on the car, the driver's helmet, and the overall appearance. Additionally, players can explore different helmet designs by checking out the Locked Items tab, although some of these items may require a small payment of Pitcoin.

Item Shop

Players have a wide range of options in the game's Item Shop to choose from, in addition to the default designs. By using the in-game microtransaction currency "Pitcoin," players can purchase unique helmet designs. Upon downloading the game, new players will be pleased to receive a generous amount of Pitcoin, allowing them to freely spend it as they wish.

It is not surprising that the designs available in the store are mostly superior to the default options. They offer more intricate and artistic graphical designs for players to select from. While many of these designs can be customized in terms of color scheme, it is important to note that certain specialty items, such as Max Verstappen's race helmet, cannot be customized in the same manner.

F1 23 is available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms starting June 16, 2023.
