Resident Evil 2 (2019) Guide: Uncover the Locations of the Coveted Three Medallions

Discover the whereabouts of the three elusive medallions hidden within the eerie police station in Resident Evil 2 (2019) and unlock their secrets

In the initial chapters of Capcom's Resident Evil 2 (2019), gamers must navigate their way through the Raccoon City Police Department (RPD) in their quest to find a hidden escape route from the station. After being rescued by Martin while making their way back to the main hall from the East Offices on the first floor, players are now tasked with locating three medallions scattered throughout the RPD. These medallions, once placed on a pedestal in the main hall, will unlock a concealed staircase, enabling players to progress further into the story.

To ensure successful acquisition of these puzzle pieces, players need to make sure they have sufficient inventory space. Therefore, any unused items such as shotgun or magnum ammo and surplus combat knives should be temporarily left behind. These can always be retrieved at a later point when revisiting these areas.

The first medallion players can find in Resident Evil 2 (2019) is located in the second floor of the main hall. At the top of the main staircase, players will find the lion statue. Simply interact with the statue and adjust the dials to form the pattern Lion-Branch-Eagle - confirm this pattern to acquire

The Lounge on the second floor houses the second medallion that players can acquire. Once players have navigated through the third-floor west corridor and arrived at the library, they will receive a radio message from Marvin instructing them to return to the main hall urgently. Although the natural inclination may be to descend to the lower floor of the library, players should instead head towards the door located at the southern end of the room, near the base of the grand staircase. By doing so, players can bypass the need for the club key and swiftly make their way back to the main hall.

The Maiden Medallion

In the lower library level, there is a single feeding zombie and three dead bodies that are on the verge of turning. To avoid facing too many enemies simultaneously, it is important to proceed with caution. After entering the door against the southern wall, players will come across the Unicorn Statue on their left. Don't forget to pick up the second floor map directly ahead and the gunpowder on the stand to the right. Once prepared, interact with the statue and rotate the dials to reveal the Fish-Scorpion-Vase pattern. Confirm this pattern and the Unicorn Medallion will be ready for collection. Following Marvin's request to return to the main hall, make a short detour at the pedestal to deposit the two medallions that have been obtained.

The final medallion required by players can be found in the west storage room on the third floor. However, access to this room will only be granted once players have obtained both the electronic gadget and the battery. Upon crafting the detonator, players should head back to the third floor, place the detonator on the C4, and move a safe distance away. After the explosion, swiftly enter the caged room and interact with the maiden statue. Set the dials in the pattern of Maiden-Bow-Snake and confirm the sequence to obtain the final medallion. It's important to note that a licker and a zombie will appear in the west storage room, so players must be prepared to fight them off after securing the maiden medallion. Once obtained, players should return to the main hall and insert the last medallion into the pedestal, which will unlock the secret staircase.
