Gearbox and Gunfire Games have unveiled an exciting update for Remnant 2, featuring loadouts, a special Halloween event, and overall improvements.
Players now have the ability to customize and save their own loadouts, effortlessly accessing them with a single button press. These loadouts encompass a wide range of elements, such as weapons, mods, mutators, archetypes, skills, relics, and fragments. Furthermore, loadouts will remember and restore Traits, although the Orb of Undoing must be present in the player's inventory. It is important to note that loadouts cannot be accessed during ongoing combat encounters.
Remnant 2's Aberration Domination Halloween event takes place from October 27 to 31. During this event, players can collect rare Corrupted Shards and exchange them at Dwell in Ward 13. As a reward, players have the opportunity to craft corrupted versions of specific weapons.
The update also includes various general fixes. These fixes address performance issues during boss fights, as well as resolving problems caused by certain actions that would previously crash the game. Additionally, the responsiveness of the evading action during co-op sessions has been improved. Now, players will join the game near or at the host's location instead of automatically starting in spectator mode. However, if the host is in the midst of a boss fight or an event region, players will still begin in spectator mode.
Remnant 2 is now accessible on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. In our review on our website, we described Remnant 2 as an ideal sequel that builds upon the concepts introduced in the first game. While it may not astound you, the game's captivating gameplay loop, which consists of gratifying combat, a continually expanding array of skills and abilities, and the unpredictable nature of its procedural generation, will firmly grip you and refuse to release its hold.
