The light novel series has already been collected into 13 volumes, with the 13th volume scheduled for release on December 8, 2023, by Kadokawa. Yen Press, the publisher of the English version, will release the tenth volume on January 23, 2024. As a result, fans may have to wait for the manga volumes to be published for the manga series.
What is Reign of the Seven Spellblades about?
The narrative centers around Oliver Horn, a reserved and diligent young man who enrolls at Kimberly Magic Academy with the sole purpose of seeking vengeance against the mages who betrayed and murdered his mother. These treacherous mages had been his mother's colleagues at the academy, prompting Oliver to join forces with his cousins, the Sherwoods, in order to locate and eliminate his targeted teachers. In the course of his quest, he also takes possession of his mother's spellblade. However, he is only able to wield it three times in succession before facing dire consequences.

During his time at Kimberly Magic Academy, Oliver formed a close bond with Nanao, Chela, Katie, Guy, and Pete, who together were known as the Sword Roses. Among his friends, the one who captured Oliver's attention the most was Nanao Hibiya. Hailing from a distant land, she was a samurai girl who appeared to possess a seventh spellblade, a phenomenon previously unheard of.
